Person Struck, Killed By SUV Overnight On Long Island

Police are investigating a fatal overnight Long Island crash.

The crash happened around 11:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in Inwood.

It happened around 11:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in Inwood.

A male pedestrian was struck by a 2004 Ford Explorer traveling southbound on Sheridan Boulevard in the vicinity of Nassau Avenue. 

 The 35-year-old man who was driving the Explorer remained at the scene.

The pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician. Neither his identity nor age have been released.

No further injuries were reported.
